DSCC Announces Call for Speakers for AR/VR Display Forum
Austin, TX -
DSCC has announced its new virtual event, the AR/VR Display Forum, it will take place on November 3-4, 2021. This virtual conference and exhibition will be fully dedicated to the advanced display technologies for Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.
“AR and VR applications will be growing at a fast pace in the coming years,” according to Guillaume Chansin, Director of Display Research at DSCC. “The display engine will be critical to the success of any AR/VR headset or smart glasses. However, the technologies that have been developed for flat panel displays in smartphones do not meet the requirements for AR/VR. This is why AR/VR is an opportunity for the display industry to bring more innovation to market.”
Annual revenues for AR/VR displays will grow at a CAGR of 51.6% to reach $4.2B in 2026, according to a recent report by DSCC. Several technologies are competing in this space, including LCD, AMOLED, LCoS, DLP, LBS, MicroLED and OLED-on-Silicon (SiOLED).
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, several events have moved online, ensuring that industry professionals can continue to exchange ideas and promote new products. As a result, the digital tools enabling these meetings, have improved considerably. DSCC will use a state-of-the-art platform, allowing all the modern features that participants expect from a virtual event, including live interactions, Q&A with speakers and on-demand replay of presentations.
